LSAMP Scholars Day

Purpose: Helping students recognize they are part of something bigger, with an important purpose and preparing them to navigate STEM during and after their undergraduate experience, while building community and personal networks with their LSAMP peers and leadership.
Goals:
- Creating a social environment for student to be able to engage in networking with their peers
- Highlighting tangible and transferable skills to be successful in the STEM field
- Students leave with at least 1-3 skills or strategies they can begin to implement right away
- Emphasizing the importance of leveraging their LSAMP experience
- Bridge to doctorate, National opportunities, fee waivers, GRE waivers, priority considerations, NALA STEM, SROP, potential internship opportunities (dependant on their partnership with NSF)
